“The photograph was taken at Eric’s Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool, directly opposite the site of the old Cavern Club where the Ramones had earlier paid their respects. The gig was packed out and it was loud, hot and sweaty. I ran out of dry items to clear condensation from my glasses and camera lenses.”
