Co-leading the British Invasion as the antithesis to the four mop-topped Liverpool lads, the Rolling Stones went on to become the world’s most celebrated rock and roll band—amassing incredible longevity spanning fifty years and counting.
Along the way, Mick, Keith, Charlie, Bill, and a slew of axe-grinding greats—Brian Jones, Mick Taylor, and Ronnie Wood—evolved from 1960s “Satisfaction”-seeking iconoclasts to rewriting the rock and roll rule book. The early 1970s saw the sprawling Exile On Main Street become one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time, while they remained a force during even the most decadent days of disco with the equally iconic Some Girls.
Starting in the 1980s and continuing through this very day, the “Glimmer Twins” and their fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers continue to be the best-selling stadium touring juggernaut all across the world. The band boldly proclaims “pleased to meet you” to multiple generations, while churning out a cavalcade of classics (“Brown Sugar,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Start Me Up,” “Sympathy for the Devil”) every explosive step of the way.
