Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane

Photography by Baron Wolman

Grace Slick of the Jefferson Airplane was 29 when I photographed her for Eye magazine, the glossy, full-color, short-lived Rolling Stone wannabe. No forgetting her hits “White Rabbit” or “Somebody To Love.” With seductively liquid lips and wearing her signature Girl Scout uniform, she was the picture of innocence.
