Icon Photographer Eddie Sanderson

Eddie Sanderson

Eddie Sanderson was born in Berwick-upon-Tweed, the northernmost town in England. At the age of 18, he worked for a local photo agency, and by 25 he was a rising star, covering celebrity culture for the Sunday Mirror in London. Eddie’s mastery of his craft grew while shooting features for a variety of British and international publications.

Along the way, Eddie’s subjects included the extraordinary likes of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Tony Bennett, Fred Astaire, Barbra Streisand, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Bob Hope and Joan Collins. His work is just as impressive outside entertainment—including three U.S. presidents, Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, Mother Theresa and Salvador Dali.

Eddie now boasts over four decades of experience as an award-winning photographer, and his work is syndicated in over 20 countries. In addition to rock stars and celebrities, his array of work spans fashion, nature and fine art. He is working on his second book, Every Picture Tells a Story, a collection of images and anecdotes of the iconic musicians and celebrities that he has worked with over his storied career.
