Icon Photographer Kevin C. Goff

Kevin C. Goff

Kevin C. Goff started shooting beach life—mostly volleyball tournaments—at a young age using his father’s cameras. Then the British Invasion came to America. Growing up in Santa Monica he was able to photograph many of the bands that came through Los Angeles: “In those days you were able to pack a camera, buy a good seat, and even take a tripod to a concert!”

His work received attention when one of his images of Jimi Hendrix became a top-selling poster. This lead to a position shooting for Warner Brothers and touring with many of their bands. In the late ’80s, Kevin transitioned into the movie business, where he spent many years working as a camera assistant on numerous productions including Spiderman and the highly-acclaimed television series Mad Men.
