Thin Wild Mercury
Photography by Jerry Schatzberg
Thin Wild Mercury presents legendary photographs of Bob Dylan by critically acclaimed film director and photographer, Jerry Schatzberg. During the ’60s Jerry was a central figure in New York’s vibrant art scene. A photographer for elite publications such as Vogue and Life magazines, he first met Dylan during the recording of Highway 61 Revisited. Jerry and Dylan became friends and over the course of the next year he photographed Dylan in the recording studio, photo studio, on stage and off. In Thin Wild Mercury Jerry Schatzberg recounts the stories behind his candid shots and intimate portraits of Bob Dylan for the very first time.
